What airport do I fly into and where and how close is the resort?
To get to the resort fly in to Kauai's airport, Lihue Airport (LIH). The resort is in the heart of Poipu on the sunny South Shore of the Garden Isle. It takes approximately 26 minutes from the airport to the resort.
Does the resort offer shuttle services?
The resort has two passenger shuttles available to take guests anywhere within the immediate Poipu area. Shuttles are subject to availability and may have limited hours. We recommend checking with our bellmen or front desk ahead of time to plan your shuttle use.
What will the itinerary be for the retreat?
Each day is designed to offer you a beautiful balance of time together in retreat and time alone as a couple. We will share a meal each day and have a planned activities and group discussions as well as breaking for rest, relaxation, fun and adventure (you choose).
What dining options does the resort have on property?
The Holoholo Grill is located on the south end of the resort adjacent to the main pool. The Grill features gastro-inspired Hawaiian comfort food and is a collaboration with Hawaii’s own, James Beard award-winning chef, Sam Choy. The resort also has a 3 meal Gourmet Marketplace which serves made-to-order light menu items such as sandwiches, salads and pizzas. Additionally, the Marketplace sells groceries, alcohol and even sundries, such as sunscreen other Kauai Made products, sundries and gifts.
How Close is the resort to off-site shopping and dining options?
The resort is adjacent to the newest shopping development on Kauai which offers some of the nicest shopping and dining choices on the island. The Shops at Kukui’ula Village are located next door to the resort and can be accessed by dedicated walking path and a short 4 or 5 minute walk. Additionally, the resort is only about ½ mile down the road from Poipu Shopping Village and a couple miles away from Old Koloa Town.
Does the resort offer housekeeping?
Guests will receive daily housekeeping refreshes and full cleanings every third day. This means they empty trash receptacles, change towels, and replace amenities every day. Full cleanings occur every third day and additional cleanings can be purchased.
Is it recommended to have a rental car?
This depends. If you will be doing a lot of island activities such as zip lining, ATV tours, Napali Hikes, then it is probably best to have a rental car to get around. However, if you are mostly relaxing at the resort while attending the retreat and pondering the meaning to life, dining and shopping next door and walking to the beach at the Sheraton, you certainly can get by without a car.

Is the resort beachfront?
The property is not beachfront. Beaches in Kauai are by law public. That means crowds of tourists, noise, and often theft. They avoid all this by not being beachfront but are still close enough to walk. The resort is about ½ mile from a family friendly beach that offers plenty of parking. Walking takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Alternatively, you can drive to the beach, which only takes a couple minutes.

Does the resort have beach gear available for rent?
The resort's Activity Hut rents out everything you need for the perfect day at the beach. Located on the southernmost end of our main pool, the Activity Hut is open from 9am to 5pm daily and can be reached at (808) 742-2539.
How many pools does the resort have?
The property boasts 3 resort pools. The first is a 350,000-gallon main pool that features poolside cabanas, waterslides, swim-through and walk-through grotto, waterfalls, and negative edge. The main pool was voted Best Pool in America in 2020, 2021, and 2022 by USA Today’s 10Best.
The second pool is a 6,100 square foot family lagoon pool. And lastly is the tranquility waterfall pool which is only open to adults. All three boast BBQs, and Jacuzzis. The main pool is the only pool with full poolside food and beverage service.
What nightlife do you have on Kauai?
Typically on Kauai the days start and end early. There are a multitude of outdoor activities to enjoy, from ziplining to sunset dinner cruises, which means most of the action takes place while the sun is up. There are live music options right next door at Merriman’s, which offers a full bar as well. Stevenson’s Lounge at the Hyatt is another great place to go or Keoki’s Paradise just down the road. Friday night’s in Hanapepe boast an Art Walk.
